What should you know about Venus retrograde?
While Venus is retrograde, we can embrace her dual nature. Venus, as many don’t realize, has two sides. She is the Goddess of Love AND War. She can increase our desire for love, appreciation, and willingness to fight for what we love. During Venus retrograde, you’ll want to avoid starting a new relationship or making massive purchases because of the tendency to want more love, beauty, money, or connection, and eventually, after the retrograde, undoing what you strived for. The desire for more could be blown out of proportion during the retrograde because Venus reveals our rawest expression of desire and what has been hidden for far too long. But remember, this is the rawest form of your desire without the filter or understanding of the consequences of action.
Once everything is said and done after Venus’ retrograde, you might revert to what you are used to relationally OR desire something completely different. So, it is best not to invest or spend money on things, or start relationships, during the retrograde cycle. Just sit back and observe what you are sensing and craving.
What does Scorpio represent in astrology?
Like the spirit of mid-Autumn, Scorpio is dynamic, magnetic, and steady. Scorpio brings us to our depths like leaves falling from a tree onto the soil, and offers an opportunity for our roots to be fed and grow. What is most needed during any transit through Scorpio is the willingness to dare to know the truth and to get to the root of a situation. There is no other way around navigating this energy unless you don’t want to make the most of it.
What does Libra represent in astrology?
Libra is the seventh sign of the zodiac and holds the balance for us all. Libra is just, cerebral, friendly, and extremely sensitive to relational needs. If you want to think about archetypes, it is basically the Lover or Diplomat of the Zodiac. However, Libra’s downfall is that it can become submissive and people-pleasing.
What does Venus retrograde do in Scorpio and Libra?
When Venus is retrograde in Libra and Scorpio, our desire to reconnect with our roots, find our truth, and relate in a meaningful way is front and center. Our relationships, one way or another, could trigger a need to express what’s been hidden for a while because of shame or guilt, and to finally come clean so we can relate better and feel truly connected. We might find ourselves raging war over the need to be in control during the beginning of the retrograde, just to be pulled to see the other person’s point of view, get a better perspective, and find balance in the relationship. With Venus stationing retrograde conjunct Mercury, we could be enthralled in conversation about betrayals, slights, feeling disempowered, and seeking revenge or justice due to some information popping up. If you’re coupled, leave room for open communication, because there may be information you need to hear to better inform how you’d like to use this introspective time.
Once Venus is back in Libra, there could be a deeper understanding of what you value and how you’d like to go about sharing this with your partner or whoever you are relating to, to find a balance between each other. Perhaps you will notice you are not actually compatible and haven’t shared this information yet. Or, that you are compatible, just wrapped up in old commitments that are draining your energy and ability to be present with relationships that matter to you.
