I’ve been practicing astrology and tarot at markets since 2022 and have participated in over 40 markets within that time frame.
It’s been gratifying and honestly my happy place to serve folks who are looking for answers that they couldn’t find anywhere else.
However, something I’ve noticed that may make 15-minute readings more worthwhile is knowing what kind of questions to ask an astrologer or tarot reader.
Start with WHY Questions
Why questions are magical because not only do they open your mind to more possibilities that are available to you, but they also allow room for you to be empowered with the information you receive.
Why questions remind you that you have control over a particular aspect of the situation in question, and it is the reader’s task to reveal where.
You are not a 100% victim of the troubles you are experiencing, but maybe you need help seeing where you are giving your power away.
Don’t continue to give your power away by letting the reader make decisions for you.
Honestly, you know your life best, and if the reader were able to understand your motive behind the question, they would be able to pinpoint where you are struggling and how you could get yourself out of the vicious cycle.
How to ask WHY questions?
- Why did my husband leave me?
- Why do I keep getting into leadership roles that I don’t want
- Why do I constantly fail when I try to pursue something?
What Makes a Good Question vs a Bad One?
A good question leaves room for empowerment and revelation of possibilities.
A good question reminds you that you have freewill and that you have a choice to better yourself.
If you were to ask, “Why can I never find a boyfriend?”, that question inherently shows that you have a bad belief that says you are incapable of love.
See what I did there?
The question started with a ‘why,’ but then at the end, there is a negative belief.
It prevents possibilities; instead, ask “why have I not found the one yet?”
This question inherently suggests that the one is out there, but for some reason, there is a block preventing you from finding them.
Thanks to that GOOD question, the reader could easily reveal the blockage and coach you through removing it within the 15-minute reading.
If You Were to Ask a ‘What’ and ‘When’ Question
Personally, I believe Astrology answers ‘what’ and ‘when’ questions best.
Due to astrology’s timing techniques, we can reveal the season of life when a change in love, career, or life path is opening up, and you can prepare for it.
Timing techniques like transits, solar returns, progressions, and annual profections are fantastic ways to get your answer and narrow down a period when you’ll have the opportunity to take on the lesson you need to get what you want.
How to ask WHAT and WHEN questions?
- What season am I in?
- When will I find a significant partner?
- What do I need to know about my career?
Of course, the tarot reader could also find these answers using the tarot, but I work best with these questions using astrology, given enough time to conduct the necessary research.

Something I’ve noticed from time to time is that I have the opportunity to read for other readers.
This opportunity is fantastic because it could easily turn into a flowing conversation. After all, we speak a similar language.
However, it can become challenging when the person receiving the reading forgets that they are not the reader.
Suppose you are a reader and find yourself stuck because your own reading are becoming unclear….
It’s totally okay that you are reaching out for help, but keep this in mind…
Stay open-minded when you are getting a reading.
You may think you know the answer, but the reader you WHO YOU ARE PAYING will likely have a different point of view, and it is important for you to pause and listen for the message.
